Commonspace website and magazine

The website offers a platform for different views and opinions. The website features news, analysis and resources about the Caucasus region. It is maintained and updated daily by the London Information Network on Conflicts and State Building (LINKS).

The website is noteworthy for featuring news coverage and commentary on some of the most difficult stories relating to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. These stories are transmitted in English and Russian, and feature news from the 1News.AZ and ArmInfo news agencies, among others.

The website continues to attract a steady stream of visitors. Based on the feedback received, key persons on both sides of the conflict divide view the website regularly.

CommonspaceExtra analytical magazine               

CommonspaceExtra is a quarterly magazine featuring news, views, analysis and resources on the South Caucasus region. The magazine was launched in April 2013 by the Commonspace team. It is compiled by LINKS Analysis, with the help of regional partners.

The first edition included the following features:

  • A commentary about the Minsk Process and where it stands at present;
  • An article describing how ‘Corruption, traditional gender roles, threats and harassment keep women away from peace talks’ – the article describes the work and challenges of women activists in the South Caucasus (including the Armenian and Azerbaijani partners of Kvinna till Kvinna);
  • An article by Marion Kipiani on the new regional dynamic in the South Caucasus;
  • An exclusive interview with Georgia’s Minister for Re-integration, Paata Zaakareishvili.
